POSITION: Assistant Instructor

BACKGROUND: SEARCH’s Assistant Instructor position provides optimal hands-on experiences for clinicians looking to build their knowledge base and skills working with children with autism, ages 2-9, using the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). The Assistant Instructor position provides great opportunities for future growth within the organization.

REQUIREMENTS: The Assistant Instructor position is open to current students working towards a Bachelor’s degree, individuals with a Bachelor’s degree seeking additional training in the field, and candidates pursuing a Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) credential (i.e., BCBA, BCaBA, RBT).

RESPONSIBILITIES: The following responsibilities will be completed under the supervision of SEARCH’s Team Leaders, Clinical Director, and Executive Director, all Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

  • Clinical Duties
    • Provide assistance with in-session instruction to learners, including with implementation of:
      • Skill acquisition programs
      • Behavior reduction procedures
      • Assessments
    • Collect data on skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs using outlined measurement procedures
    • Create and maintain individualized curricula for assigned learners (e.g., program cards, motivational systems, activity schedules)
  • Organizational Duties
    • Create and maintain curricula for SEARCH Center (e.g., photos, bulletin boards, flyer preparation, supplies/inventory)

Compensation Package

  • Full-time (Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
  • BCBA supervision for the RBT credential is available to begin after 30 days of employment.
