POSITION: Internship in Applied Behavior Analysis

BACKGROUND: SEARCH’s internship position provides optimal hands-on experiences for clinicians looking to build his/her knowledge base and skills working with young learners with autism using the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). The internship position provides great opportunities for future growth within the organization.

REQUIREMENTS: The internship position is open to current students working towards a Bachelor’s degree, individuals with a Bachelor’s degree seeking additional training in the field, and candidates pursuing a Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) credential (i.e., BCBA, BCaBA, RBT).

RESPONSIBILITIES: The following responsibilities will be completed under the supervision of SEARCH’s Team Leaders and Directors, all Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

  • Clinical Duties
    • Provide assistance with in-session instruction to learners, including with implementation of:
      • Skill acquisition programs
      • Behavior reduction procedures
      • Assessments
    • Collect data on skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs using outlined measurement procedures
    • Create and maintain individualized curricula for assigned learners (e.g., program cards, motivational systems, activity schedules)
  • Organizational Duties
    • Create and maintain curricula for SEARCH Center (e.g., photos, bulletin boards, flyer preparation, supplies/inventory)

Schedule

  • Part-time, 10 to 20 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule
